만남이 줄고 연락이 줄어 더 이상 서로의 소식을 모르게되는 사이가 있습니다. 최근 들어 저에게도 그런 사이가 많아져 부담은 줄었지만 한편으론 서운하기도, 미안하기도 합니다. 그렇든 그렇지 않든 안부를 전하고 싶었습니다. 별탈 없이 잘 지낸다는 말은 하고싶지 않고, 구구절절 제 일상 하나하나를 전하기엔 하찮습니다. 그래서 사진으로 안부를 전하고 있습니다. 모두에게 전하고 싶으나 그럴 수 없는 점은 유감입니다. 하지만 시간이 걸리더라도 모두에게 전하고 싶습니다.
그리고 제 안부를 전해받은 분들에게 항상 말하고 있지만 지극 정성으로 소중히 여기지 않아도 좋습니다. 그냥 냉장고에 자석으로 붙여 놓으라고 합니다. 액자에 넣겠다고 한다면 말리진 않겠습니다. 매일같은 하루에 함께하길 바랍니다.

This project began with an exploration of the evolving relationships in contemporary society. Today, we can easily know about others' well-being, relationships between people are changing rapidly. Relationships nowadays, much like computers processing information, forcefully fill in even the spaces that should be left empty. With this project, I wanted to recreate the void that had disappeared. Through postal mail, conveying greetings slowly and only through photos, it makes the recipient eagerly await the arrival of the letter and naturally think of the sender. The same applies when looking at the photo. It only allows the recipient to speculate about the sender's current situation based on the image. Along with news of receiving a letter, a conversation begins. It can lead to phone calls or even meeting in person to share the stories that were not exchanged before. This reminds us of the fact that should not be overlooked in relationships that are quickly consumed and ephemeral. The human heart moves slowly and accumulates each other's feelings over time. That's how the void is filled.
This project, which is open for applications through the website, is available to anyone, not just acquaintances of the artist. By providing your name and address and submitting it, you will receive a letter by mail a few days later. Inside the postal envelope with a handwritten address, you will receive a printed photo on a 4×6 print. It is a photo capturing a glimpse of the artist's daily life, and there is only one copy of it.
